While being a startup, you will often sign up for all kinds of services like hosting, domain names registration, etc. Make sure you sign up and pay for as little periods as possible. Do not go for those “big savings” by signing up for a year or God forbid 3 years. You will often have to cancel the service for tons of reasons. We just recently had to ditch a Deluxe hosting account on GoDaddy, paid for 1 year. The reason was that the server just didn’t work properly, and we were receiving all kind of errors. When we moved to a dedicated server to some other provider the site started working normally. Time we used the GoDaddy hosting: less than 2 month. They say they won’t refund us the money for 10 remaining months. It’s the fine print in their agreements.
